Kindergarten is a significant period in human development. Independence, initiative, decision making, creativity, the ability to learn, the ability to relate to others and feelings of self-worth all have their beginnings in early childhood. What young children learn at this stage will have a major impact on successful learning experiences in school, on personal development and on future participation in society.

About English Kindergarten

École Meridian Heights School is also home to a regular English-track Kindergarten program for students in our attendance area.  We are committed to the growth of skills and attitudes in each developmental area (social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and creative) and want your child's first year in school to be the best beginning filled with happy and successful experiences.

About French Immersion Kindergarten

Designed for students whose first language is not French, this bilingual education program is open to students who live in the western end of Parkland School Division. École Meridian Heights School provides programming for students from Kindergarten to Grade 9. Graduates of the program can participate easily in French conversations, move on to take French Immersion courses in high school, take post-secondary courses with French as the language of instruction, and accept employment with French as the language of work.
