School Council

The School Council provides teachers, parents, and community members a structured forum to come together to talk about the education of our community’s children and to work together to enhance student learning. 

The nine voting members include six parent members elected by parents, the principal, a staff representative and an appointed community member. Parent representatives from each classroom, as well as all other parents/guardians, are encouraged to attend and share views and information on school policies, procedures, and programs.

EMHS School Council is also an active member of the Alberta School Council Association. Through this membership, our school council ensures that the voice of our school community is heard on a provincial level.

School Council Meeting Dates

Meetings are typically held on the second or third Wednesday of the month from 6:30-7:30pm in the school's Learning Commons. Meeting dates are below and you can check the web calendar for updates.
